Inductio

For health & safety managers

Due diligence.
Logged at every stop.

Inductio puts each H&S question where it belongs — at the hazard, while the starter is standing there — and records the answer with a timestamp. The evidence that comes out is understanding, not just attendance.

The problem

A signature is not evidence of understanding.

When the HSE visits, or a contractor is involved in an incident, the question is not "were they inducted?" It is "what were they told at the relevant zone, and did they understand it?" A signed attendance sheet answers the first question. It says nothing about the second.

The standard a regulator expects — and that your safety management system should demonstrate — is that each person received the specific briefing for each hazard on site, was asked about it, and understood it before they were exposed to it.

  • An attendance record shows who turned up. Understanding requires evidence of what they were asked — and how they answered.
  • CDM 2015 requires site-specific induction. Not a general briefing — the site as it is today.
  • ISO 45001 expects competency verification. A signature does not verify competency.
  • HSE enforcement notices routinely cite induction records that could not be produced on demand.

Location-specific questions

The right question. At the right hazard. Answered on the spot.

Location triggers questions

Each stop on the induction route carries its own H&S questions. The forklift zone asks about segregation and signals. The chemical store asks about COSHH and spill procedures. Questions activate when the starter arrives — not in a classroom an hour before.

Natural language, scored automatically

There are no multiple-choice forms. New starters answer in their own words, the same way they'd answer a safety lead. The AI scores each answer, flags gaps, and asks a follow-up where the answer is incomplete.

Every answer logged with a timestamp

Who answered what, where, and when — for every question on every stop. The record shows not just that they were inducted but that they were at that hazard, were asked that question, and answered it correctly.

Audit reports

One export. Everything an auditor needs.

Every induction run generates a complete compliance record: the starter's name, the route they walked, each stop they visited, every H&S question they were asked, their answer, and their score — with timestamps throughout. The export is ready on demand. No preparation, no reconstruction from memory, no searching through paper files.

When an HSE inspector visits, or the principal contractor asks for evidence, the record is already there.

100% of runs logged

Every question, every answer, every timestamp

Exportable on demand

No manual preparation required

Ongoing compliance

Reinduction when it matters. Welfare built in.

Reinduction triggers

Annual reinduction, procedure-change reinduction, or return-from-absence reinduction — set by date or by admin action. When a RAMS changes, trigger a reinduction for everyone inducted under the old version. The evidence updates; the log shows both runs with timestamps for each.

Welfare checks (bolt-on)

For lone workers, long shifts, or high-risk roles, the welfare check module sends a WhatsApp ping at a configured interval. The worker confirms they are safe. No response after a defined window triggers an alert to the nominated contact. No hardware required.

Reinductions and welfare checks are optional bolt-on modules. See the full platform.
